About This Club

Our east side LA bookclub is looking for new members! We're a group of 20-30-somethings who read a wide range of fiction (mostly contemporary literary fiction) and occasionally non-fiction (mostly memoir). We meet once a month at a cafe or bar in Los Feliz/Silver Lake/East Hollywood to chat about the book over coffee or drinks. We usually meet on weeknights, but sometimes we meet for Sat/Sun brunch.

Our next meeting is Jan. 29th at The Alcove in Los Feliz, and we're reading Becoming by Michelle Obama.

Some past books we've read are: Asymmetry (Lisa Halliday), Homegoing (Yaa Gyasi), Nutshell (Ian McEwan), Little Fires Everywhere (Celeste Ng), The Year of Magical Thinking (Joan Didion), My Kitchen Year (Ruth Reichl), The Underground Railroad (Colson Whitehead), Never Let Me Go (Kazuo Ishiguro), Girl on the Train (Paula Hawkins)
