Hi everyone, just wondering if this is the book you're all still reading, or have you all finished?? Just didn't want to start reading it if there will be another book chosen soon, otherwise I'll be left behind lol Thanks, Kat :)

We haven't chosen a book to read as yet, although I was unable to finish Cloud Atlas as it was not for me...hence review.

I am now reading World Without End, so feel free to join me! It's rather a lengthy novel though but oh so worth it. It's the sequel to Pillars of the Earth. ;-)

Is it vital that you read "Pillars of the Earth" first? :)

It's not vital that you read Pillars of the Earth first, but it will give you the background and the history of what happened before this point. Or you could watch Pillars online to save reading it.

I'm only 70 pages in at the moment and it doesn't make a difference so far, the characters are new as they are just descendants of the characters in Pillars. It is also set 200 years later so it will have a story of it's own.

        I hope that helps! :)

Thanks heaps! :) I might just get both anyway and try and power through them, easier said than done though lol

i have heard these books are incredibly long but absolutley worth taking the time to read. Just like the George RR Martin Song of Ice and Fire series. I'll get them too (pillars and worl without end), why not - I've heard enough times that they are good!

I know Pillars of the Earth and World Without End are long - one or both may take more than one month to read. Maybe do a couple chapter at a time update? Or how would you like to work on chomping away at those?

Yeah I'm happy to that, I'm currently on chapter 25 of World Without End. Where is everyone else at?

I did not start that one yet. I am slightly overwhelmed by the size - but I will definitely start it this week. I finished school so I have more fun reading time!! Tink - are you reading both the pillars and the world without end, or just pillars?

Hey, I'm reading just Pillars at the moment! I will probably get the other one at some point, but at the moment, I keep finding other books to read lol I should stop downloading books onto my Kindle, but can't seem to help myself, and then I get sidetracked by all the other books I have found, and before I know it, I'm reading 10 of them! haha
